Randall C. Zisler | Chairman and Chief Executive Officer310-560-1192 | randall.zisler@zislercapital.com Randy has had long alliances with prestigious institutions, both academic and on Wall Street. He was Managing Director at the international firm of Jones Lang LaSalle, where he co-headed the real estate investment bank. Prior to that, he was a founder of Apogee Associates, a real estate advisor dedicated to raising capital for developers and owners. Apogee represented national REITS and developers, such as Rockefeller Development Group, and investors such as Marvin Davis, Morgan Stanley, GE Capital and TIAA. During his time at Jones Lang Wootton as partner, Zisler founded that firm’s pension advisory business. At Goldman Sachs, he created Wall Street’s first real estate research group and participated in signature transactions such at the securitization of Rockefeller Center. As Managing Director of Pension Consulting Alliance, he represented many institutional capital sources, such as CALPERS, CALSTRS, AT&T, the US DOL, and the Government of Singapore. He was Managing Director at Nomura Securities, where he was a Director of Real Estate and a pioneer in the applications of financial strategies to real estate. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute, NAIOP, ICSC and a frequent speaker at real estate conferences. At Princeton University, where he earned a Ph.D., two of his three Masters, and an A.B., he taught economics and real estate finance. 781-235-0003 | richard.burns@zislercapital.com A leader in the Real Estate Investment industry for over 30 years, Richard's experience spans all aspects of the business – billions of dollars of institutional capital raising, equity acquisitions and debt placement, funds creation and management, strategic joint ventures, client relations, enterprise building and real estate securities boards. He is also an expert in utilizing creative deal structuring and applying knowledge of real estate fundamentals, consistently produced superior investment performance. Mr. Burns was a pioneer in the business of pension fund investment in real estate. He gained a unique perspective on real estate investment management for institutional investors, both domestic and international including companies such as John Hancock, AEW, Boston Financial, Lend Lease and Morgan Stanley. His background also includes start-up and growing businesses, hiring and mentoring key employees and managing people in multiple offices. His experience with public real estate companies since their emergence in the 1990s ranges from working on the creation of a new REIT to overseeing the investment management of real estate securities. And finally, he gained invaluable experience in working out troubled investments during the real estate industry problems of the mid 1970s, early 1980s, and early 1990s, resulting in appreciation of risk management. Richard has been a guest lecturer at several university graduate programs and frequent speaker on real estate investment topics. Matthew J. Zisler | Principal & Chief Operating Officer310-382-6979 | matthew.zisler@zislercapital.com Matt was formerly a Vice President in the Debt and Structured Finance Group at Buchanan Street Partners in Los Angeles where he originated, underwrote, negotiated and placed debt and equity on behalf of Buchanan clients. Prior to joining Buchanan, he was an associate at Heitman in Chicago where he evaluated over $4 billion of transactions and successfully acquired over $900 million in principal investment opportunities on behalf of their various pension clients. Mr. Zisler has extensive experience as either a principal or advisor in the acquisition and development of retail, industrial, multi-family and condominium, office, and medical office, self-storage and land development properties and large portfolios. Mr. Zisler was an associate at Goldman Sachs in Equity Derivatives, where he analyzed derivative strategies for institutional investors, hedge funds, and high net worth individuals. At Ernst and Young, he was an analyst working on real estate initial public offerings. He holds a California Real Estate Broker’s License is ZCP's Broker of record and is a member of ULI, NAIOP, and the ICSC. Mr. Zisler has a B.A. degree in economics from Boston College. John Rozelle | Vice President310-283-4134 | john.rozelle@zislercapital.com John Rozelle comes to ZCP from Buchanan Street Partners, where as a VP he originated investment opportunities and arranged third party capital for value-add real estate projects. He will continue in that capacity, building new partnerships with top-tier investors and entrepreneurs. John has eleven years of experience consulting, crafting strategic plans and arranging capital for both real estate investments and operating companies. Having helped launch 5 companies, 2 business units and hundreds of real estate investments, he has achieved success by being able to interpret the entrepreneur’s vision to the critical ear of the capital markets. His methodology is grounded by experience in culturally diverse environments, ranging from small businesses to multi-national corporations with an eye toward innovation. John’s ability to raise funds, provide strategic counsel, and communicate a vision or plan brings a sophisticated and creative approach to structuring transactions for real estate investors - adding superior value in operations, the bottom line and peace of mind. Mr. Rozelle earned a B.A. from UCLA with a double major focused on the development of economic markets through the Economics and International Development Studies departments. He is a member of ULI, ICSC, Southern California NAIOP’s membership committee, actively participates in organizing the NAIOP University educational offerings in Los Angeles, and is an active affiliate member of The Society of Industrial and Office Realtors LA chapter.
Dayne L. Katz | Associate858-245-9979 | dayne.katz@zislercapital.com Dayne Katz is an associate with the Zisler Capital team. His responsibilities include underwriting, financial analysis, market research, capital market placement and execution of debt and equity transactions. Prior to joining ZCP, Mr. Katz was formerly a land acquisition specialist with MDC Holdings, Inc. where he was responsible for sourcing and valuing raw land transactions in Los Angeles and Riverside Counties. Prior to MDC Holdings, he worked in internet real estate and created an online Dental magazine called 'The Course Book.' Dayne also has experience analyzing multi-family transactions from M.G. Properties, a real estate investment group that catered entirely towards high net worth individuals. Mr. Katz is a member of ULI, NAIOP and holds a California Real Estate Broker's License. Mr. Katz holds a B.B.A. degree in Finance and Marketing from Emory University. |
